December 31...
Dec. 31st, 2009 09:30 amFrom today's "Writer's Block": Do you usually call your friends and/or family on New Year's Eve? Do you watch the countdown or ball drop on TV or choose to ignore it? What are your favorite New Year traditions?
I like to spend at least part of the evening on New Year's Eve with friends.
My instinct and desire on New Year's Eve is to start as I mean to go on, and to do what I want, rather than what I'm expected to want. So: my personal tradition on New Year's Eve is that, after seeing friends, having a good time, wishing them a good new year, I like to do some yoga and go to bed early.
Perverted, I know.
This year, I plan to add another tradition. I plan to drink on New Year's Eve. Yes, drink alcohol. I plan to drink one Sonic Screwdriver for good luck.

I don't know if the Cardiff New Years Eve "free fireworks display on the stroke of midnight" is visible from the St. David's Hotel; in my story, it is.
