Harrogate: Caffe Latino...
Aug. 3rd, 2009 12:01 pmI tumbled off the train at Harrogate, in great relief to have not missed my stop. British trains are so fast and efficient, they're frightening. I heard someone call "Lizzy!" and to my joy and delight, there was Catherine waving at me, a friendly face in a beautiful, strange new city.
No, I am not a nervous traveller. Really, I love it all. But... still don't want to miss a train, or miss a stop once I'm on it.
Catherine has yet to finish work, so she heroically ensconced me in a coffee shop with a wi-fi connecion and a cup of coffee, my luggage by my side. Life is good. Sunny, even - I mean that literally, Harrogate is bathed in sunlight. Weren't people saying this was a rainy summer in the UK? So far, I've been lucky. Except for Peel, it's been less rainy than Ottawa.
I see that Caffe Latino is a chain. Would Ianto approve? Is the word "caffe" Spanish?
