All the beautiful men...

I was looking at The 2009 AfterElton Hot 100 and, amidst the many guys I never heard of, there are more whom I know and love than ever. For example:

#100. Tahmoh Penikett (I don't hold Dollhouse against him, and loved him in Battlestar Galactica)
#94. Zachary Quinto. I never liked Sylar on Heroes much, but I loved him as Spock.
#93. Misha Collins. Yes! Yes! Yes!
85. Nathan Fillion. Presumably because of Castle. I approve.
73. George Clooney
72. Clive Owen
71. Gerard Butler
70. Jeffrey Dean Morgan. A year ago I wouldn't have known who he was. How he's both the Comedian and Daddy Dearest.
58. Jamie Bamber
44. Jonathan Rhys-Meyers
37. David Tennant
32. Daniel Craig
31. Milo Ventimiglia
29. Johnny Depp
21. Ryan Reynolds, whom I wouldn't have known before last week.
5. Jensen Ackles, whom I didn't even find attractive until a week or two ago.

Now, there are numerous men on this list that I find extremely unattractive, and a few who aren't on the list at all, but so it goes. I love Chris Pike's acting style but I think he's boring looking. Some of my favourites of all time (Christopher Eccleston, Ralph Fiennes, Peter Wingfield, Michael Rosenbaum) are unsurprisingly missing.

And do you know which of the above most made me smile to see, and my heart beat faster? It surprised me, just a little. David Tennant. Didn't realize I was quite so smitten.

A long Thursday...

...Or at least a busy one.

• In the early morning, someone jumped from a top floor of my apartment building and landed (dead) on the ground outside my apartment, about five feet from where I lay sleeping. I slept through it, utterly oblivious, though I think at some point I heard voices - and went right back to sleep. By the time I woke up, the police were gone, and everything was cleaned up.
  
• Had breakfast with maaseru, and then helped her organize her bedroom.
  
• maaseru lost her internet connection. Since she was busy this afternoon, I undertook the job of either fixing it, or sitting on the phone with the cable people till it was fixed. I talked to the cable people a little, but got disconnected because of the same problem ... And so I figured out the problem and fixed it all by myself. With great pride. It took a lot of crawling around connecting and reconnecting wires under maaseru's desk. I figure if I can do that, I can do anything. I am mighty.
  
• Did my French assignment in the nick of time - must remember that they are due Wednesdays. This included translating part of Le Petit Prince, which I always enjoy. Delightful story. And it made me remember the drabble I once wrote that was a crossover of Torchwood and Le Petit Prince.
  
• Watched the Supernatural episode "Fresh Blood" (3x07, I think) with explodedteabag. Vampires! Loved it. Especially the ending, with Dean teaching Sam how to fix the car.
  
• Went to dinner at the Lonestar with maaseru and Lillian. They have a new dessert, called something like "cinnamon fried tortillas" and I loved it - especially accompanied by vanilla ice cream. A new passion. Very yummy.
