For my own fannish pleasure and amusement I looked for links about Castiel. Angels are not well-represented online, or at least, not in any meaningful historic way. But fans all over are talking about our Cas.

• On this angel site, Castiel is not listed as the Angel of Thursday (which is his usual designation) but as an angel of the planet Jupiter. I was interested in the page on Angel's signs and sigils, though Castiel's is not listed. (And "Cassiel", the Angel of Temperance, is a totally different angel.) Many sites point out that in Catholic teachings, angels who are not mentioned in the Bible should not be given names.
  
• A Dictionary of Angels by Gustav Davidson mention Castiel on page 82 as "a Thursday angel mentioned in occult lore", but, frustratingly, doesn't explain what occult lore he is talking about. angels365 likewise talks about Castiel as the Thursday angel, but gives no sources - possibly Davidson. Also Sarah's Archangels. Other sites refer to Metatron as the Archangel of Thursday, and Judi Singleton thinks Sachiel is the angel of Thursday. He has his own gold coin, too. Someone on eBay is selling a Thursday angel figurine that could hardly look less like Castiel. Or Metatron.
