Well, as you'll recall, it's hardly a single resolution.
I have the keywords typed up on my bathroom wall, above the Torchwood calendar. If you're curious, I listed them on Jan. 1, here. A friend of mine visited today, looked at the list, and asked me if it were free-form poetry: the way I had typed it, with a nice font and symmetrical alignment in two columns, made it look artistic. I said no poetry was intended. She pointed out that the meaning, as well as the sound and form, had parallel resonance. Cool.
That being said, they are perfectly ordinary resolutions along the lines of do daily exercises, floss my teeth, don't leave dirty dishes in the sink till they get smelly, and do Latin every day.
How'm I doing? Very well, if I saw so myself. With some lapses which indicate my priorities. I have written some fiction every day - except today, when I didn't have time. I have made the bed every moring. In fact - the only things I think I have utterly failed to do is meditate - I've done it a few times, but not daily - and study Latin, which I haven't found time for at all. On the other hand, in the uncluttering department, I cleaned an entire closet today, and got rid of, or properly organized, a lot of things that badly needed it.
And best of all: I've done from half an hour to an hour of physical exercise daily, starting with dancing, followed with either weights (on odd-numbered days) or yoga (on even-numbered days). Go me!
Okay, so it's only been a week. But I feel a difference, and unless I get sick again, I see no reason to lapse any time soon.
One week down, fifty-one to go, and best of all, I'm enjoying myself.
