A cold morning...

Winter now. Snow, cold, all that traditional Canadian stuff. Brr.

And I'm feeling tired again. Cold weather tends to make me tired. Not sure why.

I have - temporarily, I think - changed my breakfast routine: not a salad but a sandwich, usually chicken or egg salad, also bought at the Loeb across the street from the theatre. I eat half of it for breakfast, half of it for lunch.

Only this morning I'm tempted to eat the whole sandwich because I'm still hungry after half of it. Maybe I'll see if a cup of tea will help.

Captain Jack cubed...

Love the Theban Band. (The historical entity as well as the talented artists, but I refer here to the talented artists.) They give us three Captain Jacks for the price of one. I wouldn't have minded if the Matt Rippy Captain Jack was in there too, but I'm not complaining, no, really I'm not...

For some reason I am quite captivated by Harkness' visible hand here. Including the wristband.

Why I love Scotland...

I should have bought some haggis for the occasion. Or single malt. I wonder if I have anything particularly Scots in my cupboard for celebration this evening. Shortbread? Thistles? Now that makes me feel like Eeyore....( Reasons I Love Scotland... )

Winter...

Yes, it's cold, snowy and icy - but when I leave work now, it's still daylight. And when I get home, it's not quite entirely dark yet.

This cheers me up a lot.

Rome: Passover...

When season one of Rome first aired, I watched a couple of episodes, and for all that I really wanted to like it, I found it boring, and gave up.

Since various friends have been recommending it to me, I decided to try again. ( So tonight I watched the first episode of series 2. )
