At home, did a fair amount of work and wrote a batch of thank-you letters regarding Christmas presents, but didn't get time to work on some fanfic writing the way I wanted to. I walked over to the Silver Snail and picked up this week's comics, as well as a storage box - might as well start 2007 by putting my comics in order. Or at least into a box.
It was the first time this year I've walked in snow. It wasn't difficult walking, but it was a quite different experience from walking on pavement. More aerobic.
Harry and Sheila came over and we watched the Doctor Who episodes "Army of Ghosts" and "Doomsday", which I love very much indeed, and probably more on every viewing. Then we got take-out pho at a place on Merivale, and went back to Sheila's for the Apaplexy collation. It was quite an amazing evening: most of the local 'Plexians were there, and two friends from far away - Vince all the way from Victoria BC, and John all the way from Ireland, with his wife and daughter - whom I'd never met before, and who were lovely. Though I hardly spoke to the daughter, since she spent the evening in earphones, watching the Doctor Who Christmas special "The Runaway Bride". I promised the others there that I would have a video-party showing it soon. When? Why I think I have enough time, I'm not sure... But I want to. It's sheer self-indulgence. But something to look forward to.
