The glorious ninth of October...

This is one of my favourite holidays - almost the equal of Christmas. What can be better than being thankful for this wonderful world?
Wishing everybody a happy Canadian Thanksgiving.
This is always a special day for me: it was my mother's birthday, and it was John Lennon's birthday, and it was the birthday of the first woman I fell in love with. It's also the wedding anniversary of two of my dearest friends. Wonderful people, all of them, and a wonderful day: often Thanksgiving also falls on Oct. 9, and it's in the middle of the most beautiful season. The maple tree outside my window is now scarlet and gold.
