Staff evaluation...
Jun. 15th, 2006 10:07 pmAll in all, it was a good day.
It wouldn't have been if I had known they were going to do staff evaluations today. I'd have been terrified. As it was, I learned about it about 1 hour before being given the evaluation by the General Manager, which really wasn't time to panic - though I was about to throw myself at her feet and beg for mercy.
As it was, she gave me a mostly-favourable evaluation, saying that she thought I had the most difficult position in the theatre because everyone in all the committees and on the board - and everyone else - comes to ask me to do any work that isn't specifically box office or managerial. And I try to do it all, with good grace, and then I get swamped, and don't even get the opportunity to prioritize.
Huh.
So she's going to try to shield me from some of the ancillary tasks and get me lessons for the software I'm using (like Excel and Dreamweaver) and I am left feeling reasonably pleased not to be on anyone's shitlist.
Before going to work today I watched the first half of the Doctor Who episode Father's Day. I had to leave about the time they were being attacked by the fell demons at the church door; my goodness, it was difficult to stop there. So I watched the rest when I got home. Got into it. Cried. Enjoyed it mightily.
Then. on

Or:
Doctor: Who am I to argue with history?
Rose: Usually first in line.
