(no subject)
Jul. 19th, 2004 03:34 pmI was listing the plays performed at the theatre where I work in 1923-24 and came across a playwright named Oliphant Down.
Oliphant Down. What a great name.
I haven't been able to find much information about him. Apparently he was American, and wrote one play, The Maker of Dreams, which seems to have been fairly popular for a while.
A pseudonym, perhaps?
P.S. I mean no sexism. Oliphant Down may have been female. Unless that would be "Oliphante".
