In my slow and steady reading of all the English-language graphic novels in the public library, last night I read JLA: Terror Incognita, most of it a story about an attempted Martian invasion of Earth. Mark Waid was the primary writer and Mike S. Miller the primary artist.

I didn't like it at all. I was bored.

It had its moments, like Lois Lane licking Clark's ear - at work - and then tearing off his shirt, and a few good panels of Batman being covert. Not much appeal. I preferred the following story where the JLA fights Polaris - mostly becaue I preferred the Darryl Banks art - but it wasn't enough to really revive my interest, and by the time I got to the silly Santa Claus story at the end, I gave up.

I think the problem is that I just don't like Mark Waid's writing style.

I have become so accustomed to repressive measures in law, especially where intellectual freedoms are involved, that I was surprised to see the court come up with what I consider to be the right decision on sharing online. See what the Globe and Mail had to say here.
