There were so many things I loved about this episode of Smallville I feel as if they wrote it just for me.

To be kind to my friends who haven't seen it yet, I'll hide my squeeling behind

Good stuff:

  1. Chloce, Chloe, Chloe. At her best!

  2. I always disliked Lois Lane. I adore Chloe. And now Chloe is writing under the name of Lois Lane and her cousin Lois isn't interested in journalism, and you know what? I think I've foudn a Lois Lane I can love.

  3. Clark and Lex worked together to solve a problem.

  4. Lex's motivation made sense, particularly his co-opting of Dr. Garner in the end. Lex at his best! I like it that he is concerned about his missing seven weeks. So he should be. And woudln't I love to know what he does and does not remember.

  5. Killer Kents! Heh.

  6. I could easily come to love Adam. He actually called Lana on her "hurt little girl facade" - how long have we been waiting for someone to do that?

  7. I love the continuity. There were references to how many past episodes here? The "Lionel-Chloe" arc, the Shattered, arc, the Ryan episodes, Clark's super-hearing....

  8. Especially in his encounter with Dr. Garner, but also in his dealings with Chloe, I thought Clark acted quite mature. Since one of the things I have always liked about the Smallville Clark is his extreme youth and innocence, this might not be entirely a good thing, but the innocence has been gone since his summer in Metropolis and I like the way he's developing now.

  9. Chloe, Chloe, Chloe....

I'm sure I'm not even skimming the surface of the things I loved about this episode. I want to watch it again, and soon!

This episode brought back my "Smallville" love. I am still not that found of Clarky, but the rest of them rocked! (Well, except for Pete. 'Cause they did not give him anything to do.)

Oh my goodness, where to start indeed. Chloe's a good place.

I loved the Lois Lane reference. I think I'd been waiting forever for that to happen. All the back reference? Rocking. Lex is lovely -- Clark is maturing. He's less innocent and he also seems less focal to me (he's always been the main focus, and everyone seemed to revolve around him, but I like how in these last few episodes many character play their roles and have their own stories aside from him). Killer Kents indeed! haha. I want to know who Adam really is -- he must be an ode to some superhero, cause he just knows way too much, I don't care how much he reads. Martial arts? Computers? Many are saying he's an incarnation of Bruce Wayne in the early years, which I suppose would make for interesting weirdness ala Lana. I think I briefly considered this in the scene where Lana is standing between the two young men and the guys just look at each other, like they were equal and somehow connected.

But I am reading into everything now because it is fun.

I am not a TV-Pete-Ross fan I'd rather not see him at all, so I don't want them to give him things to do. I'd like to see him mercifully written out. My attitude in the old comics was quite the opposite, where I couldn't get enough of Pete Ross and didn't like Lex Luthor. Loved Lana Lang and hated Lois Lane. Well - if Chloe is Lois, I love her.

My favourite characters in the show are Lex, Chloe and Lionel. We got two out of three this time: wonderful. I kept expecting to learn that Lionel Luthor was behind Summerholt, but maybe that will come later.

I loved the Lois Lane reference. I think I'd been waiting forever for that to happen.

I thought they did it very well - in a way that made perfect sense. Since I always disliked Lois Lane in previous incarnations, I love it that they introduced Chloe, made me love her, and then transform her (partly) into the Smallville version of Lois - perfect!

Clark as less focal - yes, you're right on that. I like it.

Adam is quite like Bruce Wayne in many ways. I am happy to think of him as a Bruce-Wayne-like neophyte superhero. I like the way his skills and knowledge surpass what you'd expect.

I would so love to see Chloe become Lois. She's a Lois I could actually like, and even love, also. And Clark and Lex working together is actually my favorite thing for them to do (that they'll show onscreen *g*). It was a wonderful episode. I'm not sure I needed to see inside Clark's ear twice, and Lana's eye as well, but in every other way it was great!

Yes, Adam doesn't neccesarily have to actually be Bruce Wayne, just a resemblance of him works. But of course, who knows where they will actually take him character and story wise... Fun!

I don't think Chloe has to do anything ese to 'become' Lois. She's already in the role as much as she needs to be. I agree about seeing inside ears and eyes, but I can forgive them a few oddities to get an episode that's this much fun!

I can't predict about Adam. Of course all Lana's admirers turn out to be kryptonite-mutant-freaks who try to kill her; regrettably never competent enough to succeed. I do hope Adam will be different.
