I forgot to get the flu shot from my doctor last week, so I went today to the public flu shot clinic at Immaculata High School.

I've never been in this building before. It's old, and beautiful, and right on the canal - on the opposite side of the canal from my apartment. When I went to Carleton University, it was part of Carleton, with a shuttle bus that went back and forth to the main campus - but my classes were all back at the main buildings.

Then it became part of Algonquin College.

Now it's Immaculata H.S. which (I think) used to be a private girl's Catholic school. Now it's obviously co-ed.

Last year there was a run on the flu vaccine, with people lining up for hours. This year? I arrived a few minutes early, and got my shot before it was all supposed to open. Then was asked to sit for fifteen minutes before leaving - I assume they want to be able to administer CPR if I fall down is spasms.

Slow, steady stream of people, as far as I can tell - though I suppose I couldn't tell from here if there was a mob outside.

Chatting with a guy from Tubriz by way of Ankara. Cool.

And now my 15 minutes is up and it's okay to leave.
