Today was long, busy, tiring.... One of those days that was fuller than it needed to be.

It started out at work with me losing, or failing to find, several important things -which I managed to find, but not in any place anyone would expect.

I worried about the birds, since Patti and I will both be away next week, and we have no one to leave them with, and know no one who lives conveniently close to come in to feed them. A solution may have been found - I hope.

Yoga class: It's becoming the highlight of my week in many ways. What a great class. Today's workout seemed especially challenging, but all the better for it.

Afterwards, to South Keys. A lightning-quick visit to Pat and Sandi's place to pick up something I left behind yesterday: Patti's Christmas present. Then a Future Shop, to deal with a problem with my credit card. (They fixed the problem, but I had to explain it to the clueless girl three times.)

I got a wonderful pile of Christmas cards, including a "spot the Hobbits" card showing a picture of New Zealand's Mount Cook from the Saunderson sisters, and a wonderful Edward Gorey skating card from an American friend. And a beautiful card from [livejournal.com profile] katkim! what a treat! thanks, [livejournal.com profile] katkim.

Now it's getting late, and the birds, who have been covered for almost an hour now, are singing their evening-song under the covers.

If you're really stuck for someone to feed the birds, I can come by every other day and feed them - if you have an extra key. But you'd have to show me how. And I'm afraid that one or more might escape while getting fed. :-O

Anyways, let me know. :)

Oh, I'm glad you got it. The Royal Mail is temperamental to say the least. I love getting cards too, there's nothing like getting something in the post. Emails and e-cards just aren't the same somehow.

We're very lucky to have all these option - e-mail, telephones, the postal service. Each is fun in its own way.

You are a prince among women and elves and I am deeply grateful. So are all those chirpy little guys.
