Waiting for the Procedure...
Aug. 1st, 2011 01:03 pmAnother Doctor was in to press my abdomen this morning. I have forgotten her name already. I think she's Doctor #6. What happened to Tang and Yang?
She said that the Procedure-that-isn't-quite-surgery today will determine whether they need to remove my gall bladder.
And all I could think was: I need to go back to work! How long will this take?
I feel as if I'm letting down the CCA, when I wanted to prove how reliable & hard-working I am.

Date: 2011-08-01 03:51 pm (UTC)I think emergency surgery is a perfectly understandable & acceptable reason to take time off. :)
The sentiment, though, is one that I've shared in the past. The day after I almost died from an epinephrine-resistant anaphylactic reaction, I put in a full day at work.

Date: 2011-08-01 05:42 pm (UTC)I'm sure work won't think you're not reliable and hard-working because of this - suddenly needing surgery isn't something anyone can anticipate or plan for. It just happens sometimes.
All the best!
