svdodecals: 144 words - This dodecal combines #21 (a scene omitted from "Phoenix" or "Extinction") and #19 (a first kiss). It is also a direct sequel to my previous dodecal, "Priorities".

Desire
Clark was coming over. Lex smiled wryly as he hung up. He always wanted to see Clark, but sometimes the pretense of friendship wore thin. Desire was difficult to hide.
Clark stood in the doorway: blue T-shirt, dark eyes.
"Do you have a cellular now?" asked Lex, surprised. "Weren't you at home? How'd you get here so fast?"
"Adrenaline." Was it a joke? Clark's eyes were intense with feeling and his face tight with determination. No joke.
As Clark crossed the room, he seemed much older suddenly. He put his hand on Lex's cheek; stroked it.
Lex closed his eyes.
Clark's kiss held all the gentle warmth that Lex had ever dreamed of. The taste of youth and need and alien suns. A taste of something that hadn't happened yet, blossoming within them.
"Can we?" asked Clark.
"Love me," said Lex, his eyes open now.
