Nanorobots are scary, fascinating, and impressive as hell.

Maybe I'd find the idea less scary if I hadn't seen "The Doctor Dances", but I doubt it.

I vaguely remember that the first time they were used in a media-related context was on a Next Gen episode! They were used as a sort of magical fairy dust on The Doctor Dances (but I suppose, as the old saying goes, any science sufficiently advanced will look like magic.)
