It was a busy day at work: but satisfying. Everyone has been so helpful and supportive of me. And the mysteries of Vista seem a little less frustrating.

The mysteries of the basement, on the other hand, seem like a rather delightful challenge.

[livejournal.com profile] gamergrrl joined me for lunch, even though she just had a cup of coffee. What fun to have a fannish friend at work. And there's another person there who's a Torchwood fan. Makes me feel quite at home.

After work I did a series of errands - bank, drugstore, and to Rogers to pay a bill. The woman I paid was delightful: she turned out to a Doctor Who fan. She saw the wallet I'd bought at Cardiff Castle, with the Dalek on it, and said, "Exterminate!" We had a little talk about how it's hard to find Doctor Who merchandise in Ottawa, though she found a model Dalek for her mother for Christmas. I do hope her mother is a Doctor Who fan too.

Then as I left, she saw the Torchwood patch on my backpack, and squeed. It was gratifying.

I then took the bus to the General Hospital to see [livejournal.com profile] maaseru. [livejournal.com profile] explodedteabag was already there, and we had a nice time looking at SFX magazines she had found, and talking fannish talk: excitement over Solomon Kane, for example.

Does anyone know anything about a magazine called Comics Heroes? There was an ad for it in one of [livejournal.com profile] explodedteabag's magazines, saying it was coming out on March 16, presumably in the UK. It looks like a nice glossy version of Wizard or Amazing Heroes.

I ate supper at the hospital: corned beef on rye, except (since I don't eat rye) I gave the bread to [livejournal.com profile] maaseru. Treated myself to tapioca pudding for dessert, which I love.

Then went home and wrote most of my Apaplexy zine.

So tired now...
