Doctor Who: The End of Time, part 1...

Something I meant to comment on last week, but forgot. I suppose it's spoilerish enough to need a cut....

In reference to the scene at the beginning when the Doctor walks out of the TARDIS and is rambling on about his experiences, he says:

Got married! That was a mistake. Good Queen Bess. Let me tell you, her nickname's no longer....

Assuming that, if he had continued, he would have said, "The Virgin Queen", isn't the this the first direct reference we've had to the Doctor having a sexual relationship? Not a surprise, of course: we know he had children (and grandchildren), but I still hear talk from time to time about asexual Time Lords. I think the episode with Reinette should have put paid to that a long time ago. And I'm not even going to bring up the subject of Rose, here, but you aren't going to convince me they weren't having sex on the TARDIS.

I really like this. I want a Doctor who is as sexual as possible.

Now, when we last saw him in connection with Good Queen Bess, she was giving orders for him to be shot. Guess it was a nasty break-up. Maybe because she didn't want him to leave.
