I just had a lovely morning wandering an area of London I used to know well - University College, the Senate House and the Institute of Historical Research, and the British Museum. Which looks pretty much the same on the outside and totally different on the inside - what a difference thirty years makes. But the relief of Ashurbanipal II is still magnificent, and I got sentimental over a pediment set up by Xerxes of Persia.

On to Liverpool now.
