It's hard to choose, but I think the best was going to Orkney with my friend Anne. What an amazing place. Beautiful, fascinating, different - and I've never seen a place with more history or prehistory per square inch. All that, and a Dunnett site too. Everyone there treated us well, and I'll never forget it - or the Orkney fudge.
