There are some villains I like. For instance, the Christopher Eccleston character in The Seeker: The Dark is Rising was the only character I like, because everyone else seemed dull. And Lex Luthor in Smallville... at least in the first season or two.
Faith was annoying. Loved Wesley, adore Giles - and yes, age may have something to do with it. If I could have watched Buffy as a teen, I might have preferred one of the younger characters.
I was amazed that I came to like Angel, after my original distaste for David Boreanaz.
My favourite Buffy characters are Spike, Giles and Buffy herself.
