I went to Future Shop last night. Various DVDs were playing, and I paid no attention. Then suddenly my attention picked up - that voice. Yup, it was Christopher Eccleston in The Dark is Rising. Love that man.

Future Shop has the most moronic sales staff in the city, but despite them I managed to buy the speakers I was looking for, to listen to DVDs in the bedroom.

I watched it. The parts with Christopher Eccleston were electrifying. The rest (which unfortunately was most of it) was terribly dull and mundane.

From all accounts, Christopher Eccleston was the best thing about that film. I've not seen it as I think I'd cry at what they did to one of my favourite books ever, though if I could get my hands on just the parts of it with CE I'd be very happy.
