maboroshimaki, who is an understanding sort where computers are concerned, has let me come up to her place for a few minutes of early-morning computer use. This is fun. My computer is at GamePower on Bank Street, being upgraded, updated, pulled out of the stone age to the communications age. I'd forgotten it wasn't even a Pentium. I've been adding software and hardware at an amazing rate: and the brave little thing just kept on chugging. It wasn't even malfunctioning, but it was huffing and puffing a lot.
I should have my computer back tonight.... I hope.
Yesterday evening we were watching the DVD of "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" and it was wonderful. We watched favourite bits and pieces.... We froze and zoomed in on the good bits. Yum. What a great movie.
And doesn't "Return of the King" look delicious.

And the graphics and the White City and.... oh well, you'll see. I'm gushing, aren't I? Well. You'll see this evening.

Date: 2003-08-28 07:32 am (UTC)Too bad I can't spend the whole day looking at it. That would be fun.
Many, many hours of entertainment in that one blissful little DVD package.
And you know what? Once you see the preview for the additional material on the Extended Edition of the DVD, the one coming out in November, you'll be holding your breath for that.
I love it that DVDs aren't just copies of the movie any more. They are a whole new thing in various ways.
