Did one of those massive, massive apartment organization marathons this weekend, with (gratefully received) help from Lillian. Because Lillian helped me put up new shelves in my locker, I was able to reorganize it, which meant I could reorganize my living room, which meant I could at least start work on the bedroom. Got rid of a lot of things.

Didn't spent one hundred per cent of the day doing that, but almost; I had brunch with [livejournal.com profile] maaseru, [livejournal.com profile] maaboroshi and Yolande at Feleena's on Bank Street, and bought a broom at Home Hardware; then after supper read to them the last part of the novel Torchwood: Almost Perfect, which I've been reading in installments over the past couple of weeks. I hope they enjoyed hearing it as much as I enjoyed reading it.

Ah! such an industrious day! Hearken back and listen to the genetic memory of the Protestant work ethic singing in your bones [hee!].

Wow, tho'. Such a big undertaking. Good for Lillian! I know you've been wanting to reorganize your storage locker for months upon months, and I can imagine how satisfying it was to get to do it. Yay, you!

My own self-satisfaction rests upon my having taken total care of my car for yet another year. It will, however, take a few more days for me to stop feeling the habitual hesitance and trepidation when I drive, for although I no longer have to think about whether I have enough brakes to make a stop in a given scenario, and a few other things like that, it seems that I have to unlearn this somewhat manually. Serves me right for letting the car repairs go that long, huh? Huh! This is interesting.

I know you probably didn't, but did you find Wolverine's other set of claws? I doubt it. I think they were well and truly lost even before he got reassigned to the storage locker.

Actually, if you wanted help tidying, I could also have come by. :-)

[Yes, I'm aware you *really* did not want to risk me making a pun. But there has to be a start point, no?]

Yeah, I could practically hear all those Germanic-Saxon great-grandmothers urging me onward. It was difficult to stop - like eating peanuts or playing solitaire - "just one more thing" I kept thinking, as I swept out another corner or sorted through another pile of books.

Yes, very satisfying to reorganize my locker, though I do wish it were bigger - I'd've kept more stuff! As it is - very satisfying. And I found (as I thought I would) my favourite sweater, the Bayeux Tapestry one, which has been missing in a box down there for years.

Congrats on getting the car fixed up.

Wolverine's other claws - on the telephone Wolvie, you mean? Yes, I found them. I'd forgotten they were lost.
