Okay, this is funny....
Aug. 26th, 2003 12:37 pmSo I saw this goofy battle-cry thing on
Actually, I have a real battle-cry, honestly bequeathed to me by my bloodthirsty ancestors. I'm not denigrating them here - everyone's ancestors were bloodthirsty, trust me on this. My particular set (at least, the ones I'm thinking of her) were bloodthirsty Scots who shouted "Stand fast!" and "Stand fast Craigellachie!" as they thumped their enemies the MacGregors in battle. They were Grants. I have some good friends who are MacGregors; I hope my ancestors are okay with that. Don't see why they wouldn't be: the whole point of conflict is resolving it, anyway, and I'm sure they'd be happy to raise a wee dram in the end.
So this silly quiz gave me a battle-cry that doesn't sound to me the least little bit like an act of war. Something else entirely. What do you think? I think it's something I could use in a story - and not a fight scene, either.
