I got this from peterwilliams, who is the same personality type as I am. I take it that "Dreamy Idealist" translates as Meyers-Briggs' INFP?

I got the same, and I'm an INFP.

So I retook it for GDL, based on what he says about himself and what I see. He's a Laid-Back Doer. :-D

Here are his adjectives, which seem to accord with the guy we know:

Hee. I'm a Groundbreaking Thinker (http://www.ipersonic.com/type/GT.html), which makes me sound way more exciting than I actually am (although yeah, that's me). That's a MB ENTP, one of Kiersey's 'Rationals'. Slightly OT, I found Kiersey's temperaments book "Please Understand Me II" incredibly useful and helpful recently - it's very insightful and I'd recommend it highly if you're interested in this kind of thing.

I like your description, and that's a lovely colour! We share some traits but are very different temperaments :)

Not impressed with this test. Except for the first choice, what I needed to do for this thing to be accurate was cherry pick from each list. Most of the last three choices were too close to 50-50 to do anything but close my eyes and click.

That said, it thinks I'm a Harmony-Seeking Idealist. Some of the description is correct, but a lot of it isn't.

Decidedly not impressed, in case you weren't sure [g].

I agree. There were some choices where I thought, "A bit of this, a bit of that", and some where nothing fit at all.

Still, I think the Dreamy Idealist conclusion for me is right enough. For better or worse.
