Watchmen is going to appear in the theatres as scheduled. Fox and Warner Brothers made a deal.

That's a relief! I look forward to it.

Sigh. It does very much seem to be getting preposterous.

You folks marched on Parliament Hill a few months ago. Think you can do it again? (With considerably fewer attendees, considering that many of those people probably got there by bus!!)

No Parliament in session -- oops, I forgot! How's that going, anyway? Hope the right people get it in gear and assemble a useful, acceptable budget (or what was it that was the sticking point? lack of an economic stimulus package?). Anyway, even that would be useful as long as the media covered it. And, think: "Citizens strive to communicate with their MPs... but nobody's home! And whose fault is that? Well...." Hey, it's great. Pressure on Harper.

Well, as I think I mentioned already, President Obama is going to visit Ottawa on February 19 (I think). He is not one to sit in the chair and smile and nod. He is one to speak to the point and expect real answers. He's down-to-earth and practical. So -- get me a copy of the paper the next day, should be interesting! hee

You are? I am so pleased! What do people think of him, so far? I understand Europeans are quite supportive, and expect him to do what he said he would try to do. On the other hand, some of my coworkers would openly disparage him if they felt the courage to do so (hm, considering that I openly spoke my displeasure with Bush & Co., wonder what their problem is now?).

What do people think of him, so far?

Well, really, I don't go around talking about American politics much - ! As far as I can tell, people think he's fine. For once we don't mind (not as much as we did) that the Prime Minister is an American yes-boy. There was some distress at the "buy American" thing - we committed to the Free Trade deal, and it looked as if the Americans were changing the scenario.

Yeah, I'm fond of this icon. And of that scene.
