Tired Sunday morning...
Dec. 14th, 2008 07:26 amI didn't get a lot of sleep last night, which is uncharacteristic.
I got home from the party, and started making carrot-leek soup, as I'd promised to bring a contribution to lunch at Lynne's place today, and I knew I'd have no time to cook this morning. I spent about half an hour chopping leeks and celery and cooking it, before checking my email and seeing a message from Lynne: "No, don't bring soup, I'm making minestrone." The moral of the story is: even if it's potluck, check to see what the hostess is doing before you chop the leeks.
So: looks as if I'll be having soup for supper. (Not a bad thing.) So I'll pick up cheese and crackers or something to take to lunch. Or maybe leftover dessert from yesterday.
Anyway, that gave me time to wash some of the many dishes that were the artifacts of having six people over for dinner last night, after which I wen to bed. But couldn't fall asleep for a long time. Then I woke up at 6:30 this morning. Totally unnecessary, though it will be handy for getting up to walk to work tomorrow. So I washed more dishes, and read e-mail, and played solitaire.
Huh.
Really, I should be moving now - I'm meeting
