The worst winter weather I ever lived through was in Ohio where it got down to 25F below zero and stayed there for about a week. Everyone's pipes froze and nobody's cars would start, and it was awful. I cannot imagine going through temperatures like that every winter.
I don't think it's ever been below zero F here in western Washington state in the fifteen years I've lived here. And that's just fine with me.
It doesn't get hot much here, either. We hit 90F about every other year for a couple of days.
I can't put a mood thingy on a comment, but consider this one smug [g].
