Russell T Davies got an OBE, which shows good judgement on someone's part. It makes me think Canadians are terrible stuffed shirts, because as far as I know, in Canada we only hand out honours for dry, highbrow lit that isn't much fun to read. I hope I'm wrong.

It's no secret that I think Russell T Davies is a genius - I thought his work was impressive with Queer as Folk and his Doctor Who was conceptually brilliant, both in what he made of the Doctor with Christopher Eccleston, but in what he did with the source material.

He's a flawed genius, but most geniuses are.

But "Writers are the lifeblood of a lot of stuff" must be his most inelegant line ever.

The Emglish are sometimes exceedingly admirable. They often show amazingly good public values.

Well, he's on his way to becoming Sir Russell; wonder if us fans will be able to get away with calling him Sir Unca' Rusty, or if that'd be a gauche example of title stacking . . . XD

Sir Unca' Rusty sounds good to me. Suits him, in its way. I suspect he'd rather have some Gallifreyan title.

Thank you - and especially 'thank you' for the YouTube link so I could see what David Tennant had to say to us!

*HUGS* You clever person! Thank you! What fun. I love the way Colum ended it: "I actually have a David Tennant action figure. I just turn it round."

That was quite wonderful.

You're welcome. :) Btw, I'll be going on vacation 12/14 through Christmas, so you'll have to track down the links while I'm gone (cruise, Yay!). I'll play catch up when I get back.

Key West. Mostly, Mom and I are looking forward to the ship's amenities. Celebrity cruises are supposed to be really good.

How wonderful.

I've heard great things about cruises but I've never been on one more than a few hours long.
