Yesterday: I went to a Boxing Day dinner party at Sheila's place. A great time was had by all. We watched The Simpsons (because Beulah had never seen it, and it's Peter's favourite show). We played Scrabble and I lost, but only by a dozen points, so my pride didn't suffer. I can't help thinking what nice people my friends are. Lionel even really liked the present I gave him, which I thought was one of those things he might like or might care nothing for - it was a CD of nature sounds, calls of the loon.

Today: I had the urge to alphabetize my book - paperback fiction by author. Always a fiddly job. Rather fun, seeing books I forgot I had, or haven't read for years.
