Wearing: Jeans. A red T-shirt with the words "Property of Smallville High Athletic Dept." on it in yellow, with a crow. Glasses so I can read the print on the monitor. Light indoor boots, black.

Hair: Short, straight, and greying, particularly at the left temple. Otherwise brown.

Makeup: Never. Well... almost never. Certainly not today.

Jewelry: A pendant with the rune "Gebo" on it. Looks like and X, which I find nicely reminiscent of X-Men, but it actually means "a gift". Gift of life, gift of joy, I like to think.

Eating: A plate of rice with a tablespoon of peanut butter. Recently finished.

Last phone call: Received on my answering machine: notification that books I ordered are in at the library.

In your purse: I carry a backpack that always has too much in it (mosty library books and laundry) and my wallet and glasses. And pens and a notebook, always.

In your cd player: No idea. Something I put in days or weeks ago and forgot about. Okay, I'll check. Ah - a compendium of dance music made for me by a friend in Australia.

Cell phone ring: I don't have a cell phone.

Plans for today: : The usual, after work - or what I would like to be the usual - yoga, writing, fannish activity. Catching up on a few things. I'm scanning some Smallville magazine pics.

Last thing bought: Scissors, at Loblaw's this afternoon.

Listening to: Five noisy but happy budgies.

Last showered: Before going to work today.

Went to bed/woke up: Last night - some time around 11. Got up at 7. For me, that's late on both counts.

I need: More good slash.

Looking forward to: Finishing my stories. Then doing more riting. Seeing "Hidalgo" tomorrow. Reading some of the books and comics on my bookshelf. Going to Malta in a year and a half. Getting the DVDs of Smallville season 2 and The Return of the King when they come out. Going to Ad Astra in Toronto.

Worst part of the day: The continuous treachous jamming of the photocopier at work.

Best part of the day: Being home and being able to do whatever I want to do.

Favorite person of the day: The former General Manager of the theatre, who came in to help me out and handled most of the photocopier hassles while I got other things done. She is a prince.

Thinking about: The use of metaphor.

Current annoyance: My desk needs to be cleaned up but there are things I'd rather be doing.

Current obsession: The fanfic I'm currently writing, a Smallville slash story that for once isn't Clex.
